Andrea Magnano

Andrea Magnano is an entrepreneur in the field of agricultural technology and water management in agriculture. He started working in 2010 in his family’s company, founded in 1976, specialising in the design and installation of irrigation systems, dealing mainly with international market expansion.

In 2022 he founded Nabu, a company that aims to revolutionise agriculture through advanced iot and data fusion solutions, working on major projects in Egypt, Zambia, Brazil, the UAE and Vietnam.

In 2023 he founded Dunia, the only Italian manufacturer of centre pivots, with the aim of developing the world’s first electronically controlled robotic irrigation and fertigation machinery, reducing the need for water, energy and labour. In the same year, he opened the first centre pivot production unit in Sub-Saharan Africa, in Zambia.

His vision in the world of mechanisation in agriculture is based on decentralising the industrial production of machinery, in order to be closer to the end customer, wherever he is, as well as the need to increasingly merge the machinery itself with the latest technological solutions. All this is essential to compete in international markets on an equal footing with the multinationals competing in the sector.
