Michele Ponso is a successful agricultural entrepreneur in the fruit and vegetable sector, co-founder of the Joinfruit consortium together with Eraldo Barale. He runs a fruit farm covering 130 hectares of orchards in the provinces of Cuneo and Verona, where he produces small fruits (blueberries, raspberries and kiwi berries), peaches, nectarines, plums, kiwis and apples. In addition, he founded Ponso Frutta, an agricultural cooperative in Saluzzo that processes, preserves and markets the fruit produced by around 20 companies in Piedmont and Veneto. He is one of the founders of La Grande Bellezza Italiana and President of Confagricoltura‘s National Fruit Federation, where he uses his long experience in agriculture to represent all Confagricoltura’s fruit companies operating in Italy.
