Danilo Demarchi

Danilo Demarchi is Full Professor at the Polytechnic of Turin, Department of Electronics and Telecommunications. Expert in Micro&Nano Electronics, Integration of Intelligent Systems and IoT for the Agri-food Value Chain and for BioMedical Devices.

Visiting Professor at EPFL Lausanne (2019) and Tel Aviv University (2018-2021). Visiting Scientist (2018) at MIT and Harvard Medical School.

He leads the eLiONS (electronic Life-Oriented iNtelligent Systems) Laboratory of the Polytechnic of Turin and coordinates the Microelectronics group of the Italian Institute of Technology of the Polytechnic of Turin.

Founder and director of the international journal IEEE Transactions on AgriFood Electronics (TAFE) and of the IEEE Conference on AgriFood Electronics (CAFE).

Founder and Chair of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society Special Interest Group on Electronics for AgriFood.

Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE CAS Society with the seminar “Let the Plants Do the Talking: Smart agriculture thanks to messages received from plants and soil”.

At the Polytechnic of Turin he is the founder of the Master’s Degree in AgriTech Engineering.
